The chronic smell of blood and the itching pain I felt in my bones slowly jeered me back to life.
“You’re up already,” Charlize muttered weakly and I turned to my right only to see her on her knees just like I was. Both of us had our wrists, ankles, and belly, chained with silver chains that were extended to the wall.
I tried to break the shackles but the pain only worsened and it didn’t take long for me to realize the shackles on my wrists had sharp iron pins that had sunk deep into my wrists.
“Don’t bother, these shackles are made with a special material laced with poison that constantly dissolves into our bodies and weakens us. The more you try, the more it dissolves and in the worst-case scenario, you could die from your hopeless struggle.”
