CHAPTER TEN - FINAL COMMAND
The aftermath of the attack left the Silver Moon pack on edge. Aria's heart raced as she watched Lucas and his father inspect the damaged border fences.
"This wasn't random," Alexander growled, running his hand along a cleanly cut section of wire. "Someone knew exactly where to strike."
Lucas nodded grimly. "The timing was too perfect. They hit during the shift change."
Aria hung back, guilt gnawing at her insides. She knew her father's handiwork when she saw it.
"What do you think?" Lucas asked, turning to her.
She swallowed hard. "It looks... professional."
Alexander's eyes narrowed. "Indeed. The question is, who would have such detailed knowledge of our defenses?"
Aria felt his gaze linger on her. She forced herself to meet his eyes, praying her face didn't betray her.
Lucas stepped between them. "We should increase patrols. Maybe set up some surveillance cameras."
"Agreed," Alexander said. "I want a full security review. And Lucas... keep a close eye on things."
