“See you tomorrow,” Lily laughed as she left the restaurant. “What a day,” she sighed and turned backwards, jumping backwards when she came face-to-face with Paul.
“Bro, what is wrong with you? Why were you standing right in front of me?” She questioned with her hand placed on her chest.
“I apologize for that, miss,” He said and took two steps backwards. “Your ride is ready,” he said, motioning to the car he was standing in front of.
She eyed him in annoyance. “Why do I have to go with this dude? I'll die of boredom,” she muttered under her breath as she walked towards the car, entering the front seat.
As she entered the driver's seat, she turned to him with a smile. “By the way, you should try smiling more. You'd look cuter,” she told him.
He turned to her, his face still stoic. “Thank you,” he replied and faced forward, starting the car.
“So, what do you do when Davis is not around?” She asked, ending the silence.
