“She still hasn't woken up?” Their grandfather questioned when Davis came down to the sitting room. He shook his head negatively as he sat down on the couch with a deep sigh.
“Her temperature is back to normal now though,” Cecilia said as she sat next to him. She placed her hand on his thighs, “It’ll be fine, Davis. She'll wake up, don't worry. The drug he used is already wearing off. She should be awake in the next hour or so.”
“I should go back to stay with her,” Davis said as he stood up but his grandfather stopped him with his walking stick.
“Let her rest and you should do it,” He told Davis, who reluctantly sat down.
He stared at the walking stick like it was the source of his problems. “Why do you carry that thing around when you don't need it?” He questioned.
“Because it's interesting to walk with it and the enemies would think I'm incapable of defending myself without it,” The old man chuckled, dropping the stick next to him.
