32 Suffocating air

The next day, Linda got discharged and had to go to Vladimir's house. She didn't have a choice, and going back to Olivia's place might put them both in danger. If someone had told her that she would be living with Vladimir in his house weeks ago, she would have been mad at the person. Walking towards the car, everything felt unreal. She was unable to believe that this was real. Vladimir's broad back covered her view as he stood beside the car, opening the door. Once the door was opened, he turned around and glanced at her briefly before signalling her to go inside. She sat down at the back seat and waited for him to begin driving. The air around him was suffocating for her that she prayed they arrived quickly. When he started to drive, she moved her eyes to the rear view mirror and locked eyes with him in the reflection. Her heart began to pound fast and she had to look away quickly. She leaned her back on the seat and thought of what to do to distract her mind from this man.
