“No more sparring. We’re done for today,” Magnar announced, his voice carrying across the training grounds with finality.
A collective breath of relief swept through the warriors, and one by one, they began to disperse. I could see some of them glancing in my direction, a mixture of wariness and newfound respect in their eyes.
I mentally rolled my eyes. Of course, he had to put an end to it just when things were getting interesting. I turned on my heel, ready to leave, but before I could take more than a few steps, I felt a hand wrap around my wrist—firm, but not forceful.

“How did you do that?” he asked, his tone unreadable.
I arched a brow, shaking off his grip. “Do what?”
“How did you take them down?” he repeated, his brows drawing together as he studied me. “You’re not trained.”
That made me stop.
I turned fully to face him, crossing my arms. “Really? You think we need training to fight?”
