CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY EIGHT – BETTER OPTICS
In the midst of the chaos, Miguel's phone buzzed. It was Karina, video calling to check in. He answered, angling the camera to show the scene unfolding in his office.
Karina's eyes widened in disbelief, then she burst into laughter. "Oh my God, Miguel," she managed between giggles. "What is happening?"
Miguel couldn't help but laugh too. "I think our daughter just closed the deal for us."
And indeed, as the laughter died down and the investors wiped tears of mirth from their eyes, the lead investor turned to Miguel with a grin.
"Mr. Herrera," he said, extending his hand. "I think we've seen all we need to. You clearly have a company culture that values family and can handle unexpected challenges with grace and humor. We'd be honored to invest."
Miguel shook his hand, stunned but delighted. As the investors left, promising to have the paperwork drawn up soon, he looked around at his team, still cooing over Isabella.
