As the days turned into weeks, Karina and Miguel settled into a rhythm of sorts. They learned to tag-team diaper changes, to decipher Isabella's different cries, and to treasure the quiet moments when she slept peacefully in their arms.

Miguel looked momentarily disappointed, but then nodded. "You're right, of course. But let me handle the arrangements. I promise I won't go overboard."
