CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY – THE GAME IS OVER
As the group continued to chat, Karina felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned to find Bianca standing there, a saccharine smile on her face.
"Karina, darling! Don't you look... glowing," Bianca said, her eyes raking over Karina's figure.
Karina forced a smile. "Bianca. I'm surprised to see you here."
Bianca's smile widened. "Oh, I wouldn't miss this for the world. Especially not when I have such interesting news to share."
Miguel, noticing the exchange, excused himself from the board members and came to stand beside Karina. "Bianca," he said coldly. "I don't recall seeing your name on the guest list."
Bianca laughed, the sound brittle and false. "Oh, Miguel. You know I have my ways. But enough about me. I was just about to tell Karina here about our little... rendezvous last week."
Karina felt her heart rate spike, but she kept her expression neutral. "I'm not interested in your lies, Bianca."
