CHAPTER THIRTEEN – THE CEO IS ALWAYS RIGHT
Back at the office, Karina tried to focus on her work, but her mind kept replaying the events of the lunch. She was so distracted that she almost missed the start of the 2 PM meeting Miguel had mentioned.
Rushing into the conference room, she found Miguel already there, along with several department heads. His eyes narrowed as she took her seat.
"Nice of you to join us, Ms. Zaslav," he said coldly. "Now, as I was saying, we need to discuss the new marketing campaign for Q4."
As the meeting progressed, Karina found herself constantly on edge. Every time she tried to contribute, Miguel would interrupt or dismiss her ideas. It was clear he was using this meeting as another opportunity to undermine her.
"Perhaps, Mr. Eladio," Karina said, trying to keep her voice steady, "we could consider a more digital-focused approach? Our data shows that-"
"I think we've heard enough about data," Miguel cut in. "What we need are real, actionable ideas. Not more charts and graphs."
