The hint of a grin stretched across Otis's features as he levered himself to his feet with a groan, extending his arms over his head in an languid stretch. "Naw, my brother Harry's comin' to fetch me," he replied, his words slightly muffled by the yawn that followed. "Should be pullin' up any minute now, far as I know."

"That's your brother's ride?" she couldn't help but ask, lifting a hand to shade her eyes against the glare. "Don't remember the last time I saw a truck that fancy 'round these parts."
