Chapter 9
Bricks seemed to have not heard it.
The bodyguard didn't dare to say it a second time, and waited silently.
After a minute of silence, Bricks folded the piece of paper, with a cold expression on his face, and ordered, "Go to the kitchen and get me a bottle of the hottest chili oil."
The bodyguard didn't know what he wanted the chili oil for, but he didn't dare to ask more. He just responded respectfully and then exited the pavilion.
"Bring them here."
"Yes."
Soon, under the leadership of another bodyguard, the Madison sisters walked to the entrance of the pavilion and stopped. The bodyguard first entered the pavilion to ask for instructions.
Roxane slandered her husband's many rules in her heart, like an ancient emperor, while staring at the food on the stone table and swallowing her saliva.
She's so hungry!
It's really not the right time to come.
She was hungry and he was just eating.
Would he treat her to dinner because they had just received the marriage certificate?
"Master, the two young ladies from the Madison family are here."
Bricks did not speak, nor did he look at them.
The bodyguard stood there waiting for Bricks' reply.
From the corner of Roxane's eyes, she caught Maxine who was beside her with her hands hanging on her side.
She knew Maxine was most afraid of Bricks, but she didn't expect that she would be so afraid.
By the way, has Maxine done any bad things and has a guilty conscience that makes her so afraid of him?
Roxane stared at her incomparably handsome and respectable man even in a wheelchair while thinking badly that Maxine must have crawled through his bed, but was kicked off the bed by him.
Imagining such a scene, instead of being jealous, Roxane wanted to laugh instead.
She couldn't hold back. She really smiled secretly.
"Are they really here to apologize?"
Bricks finally spoke and his voice was as deep and cold as before.
The bodyguard responded respectfully, "Ms. Madison said so."
Bricks turned his head to look out, and his gaze locked Roxane straightly. Roxane who was snickering couldn't stop and when he saw it straight, Roxane's smile suddenly froze.
His eyes were deep and sharp, so Roxane was a little flustered and embarrassed when he looked at her like this.
Maxine sensed something was wrong, and followed Bricks' sight who's looking at Roxane. Seeing Roxane holding a stiff smile on her face, Maxine didn't understand anything. She just felt a rush of heat rushing to her brain.
She accompanies Roxane to apologize. She is already biting her head. Bricks hasn't let them enter the pavilion for a long time. She is panicking. Unexpectedly, Roxane, a pig who has caused a catastrophe, is actually laughing and it was discovered by the master.
If Bricks hadn't been staring at Roxane, Maxine would have given her a slap in the face.
Bricks' gaze fell on Roxane's wrist which was still wrapped in gauze, and he could see that she had not changed her gauze after returning.
"I think their apology isn't sincere. Let them go back the same way."
Bricks retracted his gaze and coldly ordered the bodyguard to send off the guests.
"Mr. Zimmerman"
Maxine said anxiously, "Master, we come to apologize to you with great sincerity. Roxane grew up in the country. She is ignorant and impulsive. She does anything she wants and offends you. I hope that Lord Zimmerman will let her first offense pass and forgive her this time."
Bricks didn't even look at Maxine and flipped his two thin lips, and said coldly, "Miss Maxine, this matter has nothing to do with you. When I don't ask you anything, please shut up!"
Maxine's face suddenly turned pale. She bit her lower lip and her hands were clenched into fists, but she didn't dare to speak any more.
She works in the Madison family and is still a high-level manager. She knows better than Roxane when it comes to people and methods of fighting games.
This man is by no means a good person.
He looked at Roxane again.
Roxane looked as usual. She lifted her foot and walked, not outside, but into the pavilion.
Her move terrified the bodyguard and Maxine.
"Roxane!"
Maxine whispered, "Come out right away!"
Roxane ignored her, walked to the opposite side of Bricks and sat down while looking at the food on the table and boasting that the chefs of the Zimmerman are really good. Every dish is made with good color, flavor, and taste like those in a five-star hotel.
"Master Zimmerman, I want to sincerely apologize to you."
Roxane didn't even look at Bricks when she was speaking, her eyes lingered over the dishes.
No way, she is too hungry.
It turned out that the hunger strike was so uncomfortable. It's like she was really a ghost in her last life and she was willing to be hungry for a few days just to marry Tobias.
Roxane's actions were seen by Bricks' own eyes. His eyes flickered, and he asked her in a deep voice, "Hungry?"
Roxane nodded fiercely.
Yes, yes, she is very hungry. Husband, please invite me to dinner!
"Do you want to eat?"
Roxane nodded fiercely, finally looked up at Bricks and met his handsome face. She swallowed, even if he was inhumane because of his injuries, she would be willing to keep this face for a lifetime.
Her look made Bricks' face darkened. Does she want to eat the food on the table, or do she want to eat him?
"Roxane, come out." Maxine yelled again, fearing that he would be furious in the next moment and it might hurt her.
Bricks glared at Roxane. His thin lips lifted, and his relentless words escaped, "Throw Miss Maxine to me. She's so noisy!"
Maxine: ...
In the next moment, two bodyguards stepped forward, could not help but set up Maxine and dragged her away.
