Elijah struggled to describe his feelings at this moment. Countless thoughts coursed through his head as he attempted to speak to Grace.
He wondered, "Should I apologize before anything else, or should I ask her about her disappearance over these years?"
Just when he was deliberating, Grace passed him by without giving him a look.
He froze.
It was too late when he finally gathered himself. Grace had gotten into a cab. She gently addressed the driver, "Let's go."
Elijah watched as the lovely woman vanished before his eyes. It took him a while to come to his senses. He took out his phone to call Luther, but upon recalling Luther's past treatment of Grace, he hesitated.
He quietly memorized the plate of the cab out of selfish reasons. After that, he dispatched someone to track down her current address.
The black Bentley crawled along the street. Grace looked out of the car window calmly. One thing puzzled her, though. What was Elijah doing at West Taseville Cemetery?
