CHAPTER 27

Within the last fifteen minutes, Kristen had cried her heart out. Each time, her past comes hunting, she cries. It relieves her of tension. With her back leaning against the wall, she brushes her mouth sluggishly. Her eyes were red from crying and her mouth quivering. Her cheeks were drained of colors. She wipes her face to stop her tears, only to feel more come. She buries her face into the crook of her elbow and tries to control herself. She sniffles once, twice, and then takes a deep breath. This is not the time for her to be strong. Not when every member of her family is popping up at her doorstep reminding her if what she is trying to forget.
