"I... I don't know. We're just employees; they don't really tell us much. It's all his trusted people inside—"
There was a sharp snap as Celeste stomped again, and the clear sound of a bone breaking echoed. This time, it was another one of his handbones.
"Ah—"
Celeste slammed her palm on his wound, blood splattering everywhere. The pain knocked him out cold.
Touching her communicator, her voice was muffled, "I'm in the backyard."
"We've been misled by fake info; it'll take half an hour to get our guys back here. Celeste, keep things under control!"
"I'll do my best."
Celeste's reply was subdued as she pulled out a compact sniper rifle from her backpack. She assembled it in under a minute, climbed quietly to the rooftop in the dark, and started looking for the boss.
The backyard was well-lit, and through a window veiled by curtains, she could make out the figure of a middle-aged man.
A smirk played across Celeste's usually impassive face.
