*RENEE* I tried not to worry about explaining myself to Marcelo anymore. Since he didn’t berate me for that,I was going to pretend that maybe he didn’t hear what I said. Sighing,I got the drink I wanted and got back to my bedroom. I brought out my laptop and logged into my emails.My eyes dilated when I saw that seven collaborative projects I had nearly secured had withdrawn opting for a more suitable stylist. How could I lose seven business offers in one day? My phone beeped and I saw that Sarah had sent me a link.I clicked on the link and frowned,greatly at the headline. “Catherine Hudson shines in a 10 million dollars haute couture gown at the grandeur gala.She is truly a goddess.” I was stunned to recognize the dress. That was my dress! I made that dress! How dare Catherine talk my clients against working with me and then have the nerves to rock my dress?! She didn’t even give any credit to me! I was enraged.I quickly changed and rushed to the Hudson’s family house. It wasn’t as if I was ban from the house so none of the workers dared to stop me as I walked into the house and headed upstairs. I heard noise coming from Catherine’s room so she must be in there. I barged into the room to find Catherine talking on the phone. “My God,I love the dress so much.I haven’t been able to take it off since last night.I feel like a queen in it…” “A queen in something you stole?!”I thundered. She turned around and looked shocked to see me. She quickly ended the call. “What are you doing here,Renee?” “Take off that dress!”I yelled, hurrying towards her. She moved away from me. “This is mine!” “How is it yours?!I made this myself,using my own body measurement,it barely suits you.Do you seriously have to take everything I have?!” “Yes!Because I’m a Hudson.You’re a nobody who deserves nothing.You have no right to look so beautiful,to have such great body and to always such great fashion skills.You are always trying to outshine me!” “I have never tried to outshine you,Catherine.You are just simply triggered with everything I do.I’m a constant threat to you when all I just want is for you to leave me alone!” “You have no right to own any nice things.This dress and those over there.”Catherine pointed at the wardrobe. My God! Did she steal more of my dresses? “They are all mine.Now get out of my father’s house!” “You’re right.It’s your father’s house.It’s your house.I am married to Marcelo now and I live there so by all means,stop coming for what’s mine!And if you insist on not taking off this dress…”I drawled. Catherine scoffed.”What are you going to do?Call your crippled husband on me?” I laughed and walked up to her closet to see that she had indeed stolen some of the dresses I had made. She had no idea I was holding a scissors.I moved quickly,cutting through the dresses and making irreparable damages on them. “Stop,Renee.Have you gone nuts?!” Sensing her running towards me,I turned around and pointed the scissors at her. “Take one step towards me and I will do more ruins to your ugly face.” Her jaw dropped in shock.”How dare you call me that?How dare you speak to me like that?!” After doing enough damages to the dress,I started walking up to her with the scissors in my hand. “What…what do you think you’re doing?You can’t hurt me.My parents will have your head!”Catherine let out moving away from me. “I’ve had enough of your bullying.I have had enough of your torture.”With that,I grabbed the hem of the dress on her body and ripped it apart,reducing the exquisite gown to rags. “I warned you to take it off.”I drawled. I watched as she fumed but she knew she couldn’t hurt me as before because I was going to fight back to the end today. If she dares to start a fight,I will so beat her up. “Why do I feel this is about something else because I have stolen from you a lot.This is about Marcelo,isn’t it?What?Did he hurt you badly when he saw what I had kept in your luggage?” My teeth clenched hard as she smiled,triumphantly at me. “Drew told me that cousin of his do not mind hurting anyone,whether male of female,he must have hurt you a lot,right and that is why you’re so upset with me.” Oh I hated Catherine so much. “Or is this about Drew.You’re angry I get to marry a perfect and rich gentleman while you’re stuck with a cripple.Is he paralyzed from waist down?”Catherine burst into laughter.”I’m sure he can’t have an erection,poor you.You’re going to die a virgin.I could give you stories of how good Andrew’s skills are though.” “I do not need your boring stories and trust me you know nothing about Marcelo so shut up.As for Andrew,why will I be mad you stole him from me?You only showed me how much of a weak man he is.He’s clearly weaker than a cripple if you ask me so have fun with him.You two deserve each other.” I moved closer to her and warned.”Do not ever meddle in my career again!Else,your days will be filled with regret.” *********** I got to know that Catherine caused a major setback in my career by exposing the nature of my birth. She told the press that I wasn’t really a Hudson. And that was a nobody found in the dumpster. The society I grew up in and still live in was a vicious circle and one could only survive if you were from a good and noble family. And since everyone got to know that I didn’t even have a family at all,it was scandalous for me and my business. Still I didn’t want to give up.I will never give up fighting for a better life and a name for myself with or without a good family name. I will make my own name. I needed a new outfit for the fashion summit so I went to the mall to select and buy some materials myself. As I walked into the mall which was often visited by the high society,I could feel some people staring at me in disdain. I feel heard one saying that I didn’t belong here but I refused to let anything break me. As I headed for the section that had what I wanted,someone blocked my path. I looked up to see that it was Andrew. Seriously? “It’s so hard to see you these days,Renee.I literally had someone monitoring Marcelo’s estate to let me know of anytime you’d be stepping out of the house.” I scoffed.”You’re stalking me now?” “You should be pleased” “I don’t have time for this.”I moved to the side for he stopped me.”What’s your problem,Drew?” “My problem is you acting stubborn and refusing to come back to me.You just have to beg me and I’ll take you back,it’s the…” Before he could complete that,I slapped him hard on the face. “How dare you hit me?!”He thundered,holding his face. “I just wanted to correct your senses before it felt as if they were scattered.”I laughed.”Beg you?I am married now,Drew.And even if I wasn’t,I still wouldn’t give a fuck about you.” “Your reputation and business is in shambles,I could help you.” “I do not need your help!” “What do you even stand to gain with Marcelo?He cares about no one but himself.That fucking cripple can’t give you anything!” “Don’t you ever call him that.I will prefer you address him as ‘Renee’s husband.’ And for your information,my husband is better than you in everything” Andrew gave me a look as if I had slapped him again.
