Me: (rolling my eyes) Jacob, if you were any more obvious with your cheating, you'd need to attend a magician's academy! Jacob: (feigning innocence) Cheating? Oh, come on, Jennie, I thought you knew I'm just naturally lucky. Me: (smirking) Lucky? You've got a four-leaf clover hidden in your sock, don't you? Jacob: (laughs) Well, if I do, I've had it since birth! Me: (playfully accusing) I bet you even have a secret hotline to Lady Luck. "Hello, Luck? It's Jacob again. Yeah, I'll take a Royal Flush, please." Jacob: (grinning) Hey, you know it's all about who you know in this world. Me: (shaking my head) In that case, I need to introduce myself to Miss Fortune. She seems to be my only friend tonight. Jacob: (teasing) Oh, she's just visiting, but don't worry, she'll be back for me too. Me: (leaning in, whispering) And when she comes back, tell her to give me a call. We'll go out for a nice dinner and leave you and your lucky charms behind. Jacob: (chuckles) You're just trying to
