Last night, Caleb thought he had sweet talked enough, prepared her well, and would surely win her over.
He got Wendy to pass something secretly to Willow, arranging to meet her in the sorghum field at midnight.
However, the message couldn't be too obvious.
So all Wendy could do was ambiguously tell Willow to go to the sorghum field at midnight, hinting vaguely that someone important was waiting for her there.
It was one of those things that everyone knew but nobody said. Wendy thought nothing could go wrong.

Wendy was almost exploding with anger.
At this point, her hatred for Willow even surpassed that for Aiden.
