JAVION'S POV
Enzo, seeing Damon, took a step back in shock. Damon’s smile widened, even as he lay there on the brink of death. “You all look so desperate,” he sneered. “It’s almost pitiful.”
I pressed my foot harder against his chest. “Tell me where he is,” I demanded. “Or I swear, I’ll make your death slow and painful.”
Damon’s laughter turned into a painful cough. “You think you can intimidate me?” he spat. “You’re not the only one willing to die for what they believe in.”
The rain continued to pour down on us, the storm a relentless backdrop to our confrontation. My mind raced, trying to think of any way to get the truth out of him.
I looked at Luka and Enzo, hoping for some sign of support or a plan, but they were just as lost as I was.
“Damon,” I said, my voice softer but no less dangerous, “you don’t have to do this. Just tell me where my son is. We can end this.”
