Javion’s POV
I stared at the blood-red stream, my mind reeling. “Freya, I don’t know what to do,” I admitted, the weight of my responsibility pressing down on me like never before.
Freya’s face was ashen. “This is bad, Javion. Really bad.”
Before I could respond, we were interrupted by the sound of panicked voices. I turned to see a crowd of pack members running towards us, their faces filled with fear and confusion.
“What’s happening, Javion?” Luca shouted as he approached, his eyes wide with panic. “The water… it’s all turned to blood!”
“We know,” Freya said, her voice trembling. “We just found out.”
Another pack member, Elise, pushed through the crowd. “It’s not just the water,” she said, her voice shaking. “Our crops… they’re wilting and dying. Everything is dying.”
A murmur of dread rippled through the crowd. “This can’t be real,” I said, trying to process the scope of the disaster. “How could this happen so suddenly?”
