LUCA'S POV
I could feel the desperation clawing at my chest. This wasn’t just a fight; this was survival.
My pack was counting on me to lead them out of this, but every moment we were caught up here, more of my wolves were falling.
The rogue I was fighting broke free, his teeth snapping at my throat. I dodged, feeling his breath hot against my fur, but I was growing tired, my movements slower than they should have been.
He lunged at me again, and this time, I wasn’t fast enough. His claws raked across my side, a searing pain ripping through me.
I howled, the pain radiating through my body, but I couldn’t stop. I couldn’t let him win.
I dug deep, finding strength I didn’t know I still had, and pushed him back, my teeth closing around his throat with a final, desperate snap.
He went limp in my jaws, but there was no relief, only a hollow victory as I looked around and saw the carnage that surrounded us.
