DAPHNE’S POV
I sat there on the edge of the bed, my tears fell freely, soaking into the fabric of my clothes.
The pain was overwhelming, a deep, throbbing ache that seemed to settle into every part of me. I felt so utterly lost, my thoughts a chaotic mess of grief and regret.
“Why does everything have to be so complicated?” I murmured to myself, my voice cracking. “Why did this have to happen? I didn’t deserve any of this.”
The room felt like it was closing in on me, and I could barely catch my breath through the sobs that wracked my body.
I reached out to grab the pillow, clutching it as if it could somehow absorb my pain. “I miss him so much,” I whispered, my voice barely audible. “Javion… I miss you. Why couldn’t things be different?”
I stood up, pacing the small room in a desperate bid to calm myself. Every step seemed to echo with the weight of my sadness. “I used to think we had forever,” I said aloud, as if speaking to the empty room could make it all clearer.
