Naomi's grip tightened around her blanket and phone as Scott’s actions left her tense, her entire body stiffening in a defensive posture. It had only been a few short days since they signed the agreement—less than a week. For such a brief amount of time, even though they were already intimate and shared what happened last night, she still could not accept it so quickly. She was, by nature, someone who moved slowly. Unlike Amelia, who was quick to accept things, she was not like that. Scott pulled Naomi into his arms, settling her on his lap. His arms tightened around her, trapping her in his embrace. "Are you uncomfortable?" he asked after a while, his low voice resonating right by her ear.
