A dull thud echoed. Naomi stumbled backward from the impact. However, just as she took a step back, a strong arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her into an embrace. It felt so natural. Her body pressed against that familiar chest, and she caught a faint scent of the body wash he used. It was the same scent she noticed before leaving earlier. Unconsciously, an image of him without his shirt flashed before her eyes, suddenly and vividly. Naomi's eyelashes fluttered as she averted her gaze, her hand landing on his chest, pushing him away. "I'm fine." She steadied herself, stepped back, and moved out of his embrace. Scott watched as her face flushed in his arms, especially noticing how she avoided eye contact, clearly feeling uneasy. He loosened his grip, allowing her to step away. Once she regained her balance, standing half a step away from him, the redness on her cheeks faded slightly. She looked up and said, "Amelia is fine. The doctor just checked on her." He still c
