By the time he put the kettle on to boil, Amelia and Naomi emerged from the bedroom. Sean called out to them, "Come, come. Breakfast is ready, so come sit down and eat, otherwise it'll get cold." One of Amelia's pet peeves was having somebody rush her, least of all Sean, so this immediately set her off, and she snapped, "What's the rush? So what if it's cold? It's not the end of the world if my food gets cold." Sean, knowing that he inadvertently annoyed her, immediately tried to put his arm around her. "You're right, you're right.
