Naomi could clearly see what he was thinking—he was not exactly doing much of a job hiding it. Her chest tightened, as though an invisible hand was squeezing her heart, and she instinctively avoided his gaze. The next moment, however, his voice rang out once more. "If you don't agree to do this, I have no choice but to visit your parents tomorrow and apologize." Naomi's head whipped around in disbelief when she heard this. "You… You can't do that." She wanted to ask him how he had the audacity to do such a thing, but for some reason, her words came out as a command, forbidding him to see her parents. The last thing she wanted was for her parents to find out about this incident as they would be worried sick. Scott, however, would not be swayed. He stared at her in determination and said, "I've made a promise to your father not to hurt you, but I did, in the worst way possible. I'm a man of my word, and I should come clean to him about what I did. I deserve to be punished however he
