I was having lunch at the eatery near my office when I ran into him again.
The DNA results were out, and it was confirmed that the body belonged to Mrs. Sherlock.
That meant Mrs. Sherlock was either a stooge in a larger collusion or I have an entirely new enemy to contend with.
And there was no clue to finding this person except an anonymous message he had sent to me.
Things weren't over yet. They would be back for me.
Well, it's been over a week now. Yet the messenger had not made their appearance.
Did they have a delayed flight or accident on the way?
I knew the game that person was playing. He wanted me to remain tensed while he build up the suspense.
Then when I let down my guards, he would swoop in and plunder away.
I wouldn't give the satisfaction of seeing that I was disturbed by the threat he posed.
The police were working on profiling the criminal, and once their investigation was done, everyone would be safe.
