Chapter 38

　　Selena thought that no one would come to pick her up, but as soon as she exited through the hospital's door, she received a call from her mother. 　　She followed the direction Selena's mother said over the phone and she saw an SUV parked on the side of the road. 　　The car window lowered, and Selena's mother, who was sitting in the back seat, waved to her. 　　As soon as Selena got in the car, her mother held her hand with red eyes. 　　"Selena, my dear, you must have gone through a lot." 　　Selena was silent for a while. She couldn't explain her own thoughts at this moment. 　　"Mom, how come you're here?" she asked knowing fully well that her mom couldn't have come without her father's consent. 　　An unnatural look on Liza's face flashed. She hesitated, but said, "Selena, I knew that you were in the hospital, but I couldn't come and see you. Mother is very sorry." 　　Selena clearly saw her mother's expression and her heart was desolate.
