Chapter 297
"Great-Grandpa, Dad, I'll head upstairs with Grandma now," Carter said politely, not forgetting his manners.
"Sure, go ahead." Leon beamed at him. "He's such a sensible boy."
"Oh, you're such a dear." Lindsay sighed, leading Carter up the stairs.
How she wished she could hug him tight. He was such a loveable boy!
Once Carter was upstairs, Leon turned to Ethan and asked, "What's going on with you and Ella?"
"I haven't seen her since I came back from the Grant residence," Ethan said, clearly frustrated by the situation.
"How could you be so useless?" Leon seethed, though the thought of his endearing grandson immediately dampened his anger. "You need to up your game and marry her. Otherwise, Carter won't feel at ease living here."
"I know! I'll try harder," Ethan exclaimed, almost slapping his chest in determination.
Leon glowered at him. "Trying harder is pointless. You've got to work smart! Ella isn't one to be cowed by force. Use your brain and put more thought into this."
