Chapter 5 Not Going Away
Logan
I stood outside her last class waiting for the bell to ring, there is no way she's going to slip away from me this time. I found out her time table schedule (I know people), and realized I had a free period while she was in trigonometry. That gave me ample time to get to her before she tried to ditch me.
I peeked into the classroom and could just see her in the corner desk as far away from everyone as she could possibly get. She was completely invested in the topic the teacher was going on about and began chewing on her pencil, my eyes lowered down to her lips, remembering claiming those lips as mine not too long ago and enjoying every second of it.
I smiled as she adjusted her glasses, that I now know she needs for reading, putting on a totally sexy teacher vibe that she doesn't even know that she has. Man my mind is going on overdrive with this girl and I can't seem to stop these thoughts from jumping into my head. Maybe I just need to get her out of my system. A conquest of sorts, she has rejected me a few times now and that alone makes her a challenge for me.
I looked at the time, finally the bell should be going any minute now.
"Logan!" I heard my name called down the hall, my best friend Brett was making his way with Jesse in tow. "There you are man, I've been looking all over for you."
"Ah ya, just hanging out here man what are you up to?"
The bell rang right at that moment and people began to shuffle out of their seats. I quickly glanced over to see where she is and couldn't quite see over the group of students all moving at once.
"We all wanted to meet up at The Clearing are you coming or not, the girls are waiting." The Clearing is a spot in the middle of the woods, far off from the main road, that is completely cleared of trees, far enough away that know one can hear when a party is going on, or other trouble we can get ourselves into. It has been used by kids for years.
"Ah well I still have a bit of work here to do." I said my eyes wandering back and forth waiting for her to emerge from the class.
"What could you possibly have to do?" Right at that moment she came out of the classroom, her eyes quickly met mine but she looked away immediately and began to walk much faster down the hall.
"Seriously Logan what are you looking at?"
I didn't want them to know her just yet, mostly because I don't even know what this is yet, but also because I wasn't ready to share. I wanted her all to myself.
"Nothing man, lets go." I slapped him on the back and walked in the opposite direction.
Alicia
Right outside the door of my last class, really! Out of all the places in this gigantic school, thats where you and your posse were hanging. I really can't get rid of this guy.
I mean, once upon a time I dreamed of him. I'd have to say even fantasized about him, in many different ways. But now for some reason, after our encounter, I want to run away the moment I see him. He just unhinges me. It's not just about his looks, I'm not the same person around him and I'm just not comfortable with that.
I couldn't even imagine if his friends were to find out about our little make-out scene. I'm sure I would be the next novelty story in their repertoire, and I can't even begin to think about what Sarah would have to say about it.
No, I just need to stay far away from Logan Saunders as much possible.
"Bitch, we are going out!" Jess came up behind me and put her arm around my shoulder.
"Where are we going this time? I think I've had enough time out don't you?" She didn't listen just pulled me towards her car.
"Oh my god just get in the car, you don't even have to change."
"Why would I change Jess, we aren't going to another party are we?" I panicked.
"I just said you don't have to change, and I'm not telling you where we are going, I'm just kidnapping you. Now sit!" She commanded while I stuck my tongue out at her.
I read my novel on the drive. It seemed to take quite awhile, we were driving in the woods somewhere and I was beginning to think Jess was lost.
"Do you know where you are going?" I laughed.
"Shut up I know exactly where I'm going." She smiled.
We turned around a bend and suddenly was met with a big clearing full of groups of teenagers, some I recognized, others I didn't.
"What is this?" I exclaimed confused.
"Its The Clearing." She said as though I should know.
"Its the what now.." I asked genuinely confused.
"Alicia have you seriously never heard of The Clearing before, man you are really out of touch, this is the spot for hang outs, parties, drinking, dirty make-out sessions.." She said that last one with a smirk.
"Whatever, lets get this over with cause I know your not going to take me home anytime soon." I made a grumpy face as I got out of the car.
"You know if you gave things half a chance you might actually enjoy yourself once and awhile." Jess joined me on my side of the car saying the same thing she always says when she tries to get me involved.
"Jessica!" We both looked at who was calling out her name and there was Kyle, looking all excited to see his girl. I had to smile at those two, they were just adorable.
"Come on lets go where Kyle is." Jess called to me while walking in his direction. I was going to follow but saw that he was amongst a crowd of people from our school and it finally occurred to me that Logan might be here. I scowled at the thought. I had better make myself scarce.
"No thats ok Jess I would much rather find a nice quiet place and keep reading my book, but you go have fun I'll catch back up with you." Jess frowned and looked as though she didn't want to leave me, but I shooed her along telling her I would be fine.
I took a look around, and besides the fact that this place was riddled with teenagers making a mess of it, it was actually quite nice. Just away from the music and the laughter I found a large stone beside a creek that I could sit on and read.
It was actually quite relaxing, I was really enjoying myself out here. The birds were beautifully singing in the trees, the water from the creek was making the most relaxing sound and I was reading one of my most favourite stories of all time. Pride and Prejudice. I was just getting to the part when Mr. Darcy asks Elizabeth Bennet to marry him when giant arms wrapped around my body and place a hand around my mouth. I was about to scream when a sexy voice I have heard a few times now whispered into my ear.
"You know, I'm surprised to see you here, but this isn't really why kids come to this spot." My eyes closed as his breath cascading over my ear and neck. I no longer was afraid of who was behind me but I definitely needed to get out of this position.
I began to wiggle out of his grip and when it was clear I wasn't getting anywhere I gave up. He chuckled at my attempt. I was able to get his hand off my mouth. "Do I amuse you?"
"Very much so." He laughed harder.
"Can you let me go please, I really don't want to make a scene. I will scream." I bluffed, but it didn't do me any good.
"Alicia.." he began kissing my neck in nice slow motions, every once and awhile I felt his tongue grazing my skin lightly sending a bolt of electricity through me each time. I had to stifle a moan when he did this. "If you wanted to scream...all you have to do is ask."
At this I was reminded exactly why I couldn't stand this guy, I used his distraction to release his hold on me and got up from my spot in disgust.
"Whats the matter?" He asked as if he didn't know, as if this is the exact game that he was playing.
"Whats the matter, oh I don't know maybe its that I can't seem to get away from you, the fact that you keep coming on to me and I don't know why. Go after one of the other blond bimbos that following you around, I'm sure they would be more then happy to take my spot.
"But I don't want a blond bimbo Alicia." Oh god I loved when he said my name. He took a step closer and I was starting to lose my resolve. "I want you." His eyes looked deep into mine while he took another step. "I can't stop thinking about that kiss." Another step. "And I can't stop thinking about you." One more step. He had me completely backed up into the tree behind me but I hardly noticed because I was mesmerized by his eyes and the words he was saying.
"And I know you can't stop thinking about me." He leaned closer to me and was inches from my lips.
"I haven't thought about you in the...." He pressed his body up against mine making me catch my breath and lose my train of thought. He then closed the gap between us grabbing onto my waist and putting his soft lips on mine, not even giving me time to think about what was happening.
The only thought I had at that point was, I'm in trouble now.
