“Yes, Mom?” Yvonne asked.
“Your father will drive this car starting from tomorrow,” Lydia said.
“Why? This is—”
“Don’t ask why,” Lydia interrupted Yvonne before she could complete her sentence. “Now that you’re successful, can’t you let us two old folks live comfortably? It’s such a nice car too. And what if you let Samuel drive it, but he doesn’t know how to appreciate it? If he gets it into an accident, we’ll need to spend a lot to fix the car!”
“Mom, this car was bought by—”
“Not another word. The matter has been decided,” Lydia said, waving her hand impatiently. “I know that he’s been ferrying you to and from your office lately, but you can’t keep an eye on him 24/7.
