Chapter 1269
A large crowd had gathered outside the hall to say goodbye to Kurt, with many more stationed at the entrance.
Just then, Oliver Fraser, a businessman without a white flower pinned to his lapel, tried to enter.
One of the guards stopped him, saying, "This is Mr. Spencer's funeral. No white flower, no entry."
Oliver sneered. "I'm not one of the Spencer family's people. Why should I wear one?" It was clear he hadn't come to pay respects.
In recent years, the Spencer family had depended heavily on Kurt. And now that he was gone, there were plenty of opportunists hoping to see the Spencer family fall so they could move in.
"What's the big deal? It's just a flower. If you don't want to wear it, leave," Hailey said firmly.
Just then, Hailey walked toward the entrance, dressed in a black dress with a white flower on her chest.
With a quick glance at the scene, Hailey said, "I'm here to say goodbye to an old friend. Since when does the Spencer family require an invitation to a funeral?"
