Chapter 12: She Was Fooled by Chace

"Olivia?" Freddy called her name. "Why are you lost in thought?" "Nothing." Olivia put her phone in her pocket and felt something soft. It occurred to her that it was Chace's handkerchief. She had already washed it clean. But ... perhaps he didn't want it anymore. Brady first sent Freddy to the law firm. Then he took Olivia to the hotel. Upon reaching the hotel entrance, Olivia didn't get out of the car at once. She instructed, "Investigate that person's place of residence as soon as possible. I want to know tomorrow morning." Brady frowned. "Miss Hampton, do you really want to meet that man? Do you know he is..." "I have to go." Olivia's gaze was firm. Brady sighed, "Okay. I will help you investigate." "Thanks for your hard work," Olivia said, getting out of the car while holding her mother's portrait. Brady watched her figure disappear and he looked a little bit upset. Perhaps she no longer needed his support. That was fine. He was satisfied if he could be by her side.
