Chapter Twenty-Seven - Willow
Where is he? my wolf growled.
I kicked my foot out at the boxing dummy in my room and attempted to let my frustrations out. We’d eaten lunch together, and then dinner, and my wolf came to life when the sun went down.
She had nearly worn a hole inside of me from pacing back and forth. Her need for him was … a lot. My body ached, but I knew she wouldn’t stop until she got what she wanted, which was Chase.
“He’s busy,” I mumbled, wiping sweat from my brow.
I’d watched the warriors train their second session for the day from the balcony in Chase’s room. It was angled just right so that they couldn’t see me watching pathetically.
I kicked again and again until I fell back from exhaustion.
A roll of heat hit my stomach, and my wolf yelped out in frustration.
Get up. Build a nest, my wolf whispered.
“No,” I hissed, grabbing the post of my bed to stand up, but she jerked me forward.
