"Get out!" Bradley barked.
Kevin thought, 'Well, Bradley does have cancer.'
He decided not to take offense and remained calm.
"Treat Esther well. Don't lead her to her grave," Kevin advised casually before leaving.
Perhaps it was a hidden tenderness within Bradley, flowing like a gentle stream and moistening his otherwise dry heart. He sat beside his hospital bed, gazing at the unconscious Esther. Memories of their time together at Primus Mansion drifted through his mind.
Esther had pretended to have amnesia back then, yet she was irresistibly charming. She warmed his heart in ways he couldn't fully understand.
