Chapter 391
Liliane clutched her phone nervously as she paced back and forth. She had been a patient with a heart condition in the past, so she wasn't afraid of things being exposed. Each day she lived was a bonus. But now that she had finally regained her health, she didn't want to spend the rest of her life in prison.
"Have you seen Jasper's high-priced reward?" she asked as soon as the call connected. "I'm done for if the hackers find any flaws in the video!"
"Ms. Anstey, there's currently no evidence to suggest that you're in danger," the mysterious person replied.
Compared to the calmness of the mysterious person who helped her, Liliane felt incredibly nervous, as if her throat was tightening.
"You clearly—" A chill ran down Liliane's back. "I can't be sure I can keep things about you a secret if I'm exposed."
"I wish you the best then, Ms. Anstey." The call was disconnected.
Liliane tugged on her hair in frustration and tried to call the number again, but it could not be reached now.
