CHAPTER 24

　　ACE’S POV 　　Things had turned out right and perfect since I saved Betty. She had confessed that Max was my son. She insisted on another test, and it came out positive. I donated my blood to Max, and he was getting better. 　　I didn’t hesitate to spoil them both with gifts. Max was a very lovable kid, and it was pretty easy to bond with him. Betty is as kind and caring as ever. I was happy to be finally back with them. 　　We went on our first official date, and I revealed my plan to marry her. She said yes, and I felt like the happiest man on earth right now. I couldn’t wait to build a life and family with Betty. 　　“Papa!” Max yelled. He was angry I was beating him at his own game. I love that he is already used to calling me that. 　　“Sorry, buddy,” I smirked. I heard Betty chuckle. 　　I looked at her and saw her reading something from her phone. Her eyes squinted. I immediately knew it wasn’t something good. She stared, and her mind drifted. I wanted to know what was bothering her.
