Chapter 41 Struggling with Forgiveness.
Elsa sat on the edge of her bed, her hands gripping the comforter tightly. The early morning light streamed through the window, casting long shadows across the room. She had barely slept, her mind a whirlwind of emotions that she couldn’t seem to settle. The memories of the night before kept replaying in her head, over and over, like a broken record she couldn’t turn off.
She had seen them together. Noah and Jessica. The sight of them in bed had burned itself into her mind, an image that she couldn’t escape no matter how hard she tried. Noah had tried to explain himself, had tried to make her understand, but it felt like he was asking for something impossible.
How could she forgive them? How could she just forget what she had seen, what she felt?
Elsa closed her eyes, taking a deep breath as she tried to steady herself. She had spent the entire night replaying her father’s words, Noah’s explanations, and Jessica’s silence. It felt like she was trapped in a maze with no way out, ever
