Chapter 31 New Strategies and Hidden Feelings.
The early morning light filtered through the dense trees surrounding Ashwood, casting long shadows over the camp. The tension in the air was palpable as the pack members went about their duties, preparing for whatever might come next. The hunters had been silent recently, but their inactivity only heightened our anxiety. We knew that they were likely planning something, and our uneasy calm was about to be shattered.
In a hidden, dimly lit room of an old warehouse at the edge of town, the hunters convened around a large, circular table. The room was cluttered with various weapons and strange artifacts—wolfsbane, silver bullets, and other anti-werewolf paraphernalia. At the head of the table, Elias, the leader of the hunters, leaned forward, his expression grim.
“We’ve been patient,” Elias began, his voice low but forceful. “But patience is wearing thin. We need to act before the werewolves get too comfortable. Their alliance with Westville will only make them stronger.”
