Chapter 19: Keeping Distance
Attorney Dre was visibly upset, his tone becoming more stern. Amia suddenly remembered that she was supposed to sign the divorce papers tonight. But being in Florida, there was no way she could make it in time, even if she took a flight immediately.
Feeling a bit guilty, Amia replied, "I'm really sorry, Attorney Dre. I've been swamped with work these past few days, and it slipped my mind."
There was a pause before Dre responded, "Give me a definite time. I don't want to waste any more effort on this."
