SUZIE’S POV I ran, as fast as my quivering legs could carry me. I was too scared to turn back, but I could hear the shrieks and screams of the monster, right behind me. I could hear the sound of it crawling through the boulder, and I knew it was a matter of time before it got its hands on me. My breath was laboured and I was gasping for air at this point. My legs were getting weak, but I had to push on. The images of my mate, and the sounds of their struggles replayed in my mind. My vision blurred with tears as I thought of their condition. I wished I could go back for them, but I could only pray that they weren’t badly hurt. The screams of the entity rang through the air once again, the sound bouncing off against the wall, and making the whole cave shudder. Rocks and debris began to fall, hitting my skin, and nicking it. But I ignored the bruises and kept running. It didn’t take long, like I had anticipated, before I could hear the sound of the monster heavy steps behind me. It was co
