“Keep it from her,” Rory said without thinking twice. If Mable could not do the job, he would handle it for her. He wanted to make Blair pay a painful price. The next morning, Adam had the document delivered straight to Anthony. It did not take Anthony long to respond. Without delay, Adam met with Anthony that afternoon. Although Rory and the others did not say hello to Anthony during yesterday’s event, Anthony had noticed them. It was solely because Mable was with them. Anthony had caught wind that Rory and Blair fought over Mable at the party, too. He had suspicions about who these men were, but Adam came looking for him the next day. Adam briefly explained the purpose of his visit. Anthony was not quick to jump on board with the idea. He needed time to consider the proposal. The meeting took less than half an hour. Adam returned to the villa and reported the situation to Rory. “I can tell from his demeanor that he was wary of us.” Rory scoffed coldly. “I’d
