Aunt Grace explained with a smile, “23 only listens to the madam and Master Blair. It won’t respond to anyone else.” The smile on Olivia’s face froze, but she quickly pulled herself together. The old hag referred to her as anyone else, like she was irrelevant. Once Olivia became the lady of the house, the first thing she vowed to do was fire Aunt Grace. The sound of a car engine came from outside the house. Olivia suspected that Blair was back. She looked at Nicki, who was nearby. “Dad is home, Nicki.” Nicki nodded and hopped off the sofa to run out. Blair had just got out of the car when Nicki came running out of the house. “Dad!” Blair found it hard to give the girl an attitude, especially when she smiled excitedly and talked cutely. He paused and let Nicki cling to his leg. Nicki looked up, her sweet puppy dog eyes blinking. “You’re finally home, Dad. I miss you so much.” Sharing the tender moment, Blair picked her up. “I’m sorry. I’ve been busy lately.”
