I couldn't help but turn around, and what I saw made me pause. The bikes behind us were adorned with colorful ribbons, each bearing a message. Before I could read what they said, the bikes suddenly accelerated. Brandon slowed down our tandem bike. By the time I had processed what was happening, I found myself surrounded by these decorated bikes. I was able to read the message on the ribbons which said, "Mae, will you marry me?" This made my heart skip a beat, and I immediately looked at Brandon. There was no hint of embarrassment or surprise on his face, so it was clear he'd planned it. "Brandon, are you proposing to me?" I asked, my heart racing. "Yes! I want to take you home as my wife, so no one else can steal you away." Brandon was brutally honest. It seemed he was well aware of Conrad's feelings for me. Before I could respond, I heard someone shout, "Bran, aren't you going to propose?" Following the voice, I saw Ellie on a bicycle. Brandon then got off the bike, and as
