CHAPTER SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY SEVEN – THE PLAYMAKERS
Back at their safehouse, the interrogation began. The young thug, who identified himself as Joey, was initially resistant to their questions. But faced with Antonio's intimidating presence and Jasmine's shrewd questioning, he began to crack.
"Look," Jasmine said, her voice firm but not unkind, "we know you're just a small part of this. Help us, and we'll make sure you're treated fairly."
Joey's eyes darted nervously between them. "You don't understand. If I talk, I'm a dead man."
Antonio leaned in close, his voice low and menacing. "If you don't talk, you might wish you were dead."
Jasmine shot Antonio a warning look before turning back to Joey. "We can protect you. But first, you need to tell us everything you know about Victor and the man he was meeting."
Joey swallowed hard, his resolve visibly crumbling. "Alright... alright. I don't know much, but I'll tell you what I can."
