The elevator ride to Marco's office felt interminable. When the doors finally slid open, Jasmine was greeted by the sight of Marco pacing the room, his face a mask of barely contained anger.
"What the hell were you thinking?" he hissed as soon as she entered, not even waiting for the door to close behind her. "Dinner with Anthony? Are you trying to get us all arrested?"
Jasmine held up her hands placatingly. "Marco, listen to me. This could be our chance to find out what he really knows. If he is an agent, we need to know the extent of his investigation."

"Then I don't confess," Jasmine replied firmly. "I've been doing this dance with him for months, Marco. I know how to handle myself."
