CHAPTER SIX HUNDRED AND NINE – LEAVING THE VILLAGE
The days blurred together in a haze of hard work and gradual progress. Finally, after what felt like an eternity but was in reality just over a month, Boris declared the truck ready.
Standing back, looking at the now gleaming vehicle, Jasmine felt a surge of pride. The old truck looked transformed, its engine purring with a healthy rumble that echoed through the workshop.
Boris clapped them both on the shoulder, his face split by a wide grin. "Good job. Very good. Now, we prepare for journey."
