CHAPTER FOUR HUNDRED AND SEVENTY SEVEN – FINDING HER OWN WAY
"No, no, no!" Raquel would exclaim, snatching a garment from Jasmine's hands. "Can't you see you're doing it all wrong? Here, watch me."
Jasmine would observe closely, desperately trying to memorize every movement of Raquel's expert hands. But no matter how hard she tried, it never seemed good enough.
"Sloppy work," Raquel would mutter, inspecting Jasmine's stitches. "You'll have to do it all over again."
The constant criticism wore on Jasmine, chipping away at her confidence. She found herself second-guessing every action, paralyzed by the fear of making a mistake.
Even simple tasks like cooking became ordeals under Raquel's watchful eye.
"You call that chopping?" Raquel would scoff, watching Jasmine prepare vegetables for dinner. "The pieces are all different sizes. It'll never cook evenly that way."
Jasmine would nod silently, blinking back tears of frustration as she started over, trying to make each cut perfect.
