When Samuel mentioned the child, Shelmaine's heart ached as if it was being stabbed.
Samuel didn't know about her miscarriage. Thinking about how ironic it was, she chuckled coldly. "You're indeed drunk. Stop coming here to harass me, or I'll call the police."
There was a long silence on Samuel's end. When she was about to hang up, he said, "Shelmaine, don't be with him."
"Who I'm with is none of your business. Stop drunk dialing me, and don't ever disturb my life again."
Shelmaine's tone was devoid of emotion. It became as cold as the one she had learned from him. "We've agreed on the terms when we divorced. I hope you haven't forgotten about that."
With that, she hung up the phone without hesitation.
