"Shelmaine, you don't need to be so aggressive." Samuel's eyelids twitched a few times as he turned to look at Shelmaine.
She turned to look at him as well. Their gazes met, unyielding. With a stiff expression, he said coldly, "I know you're upset, but it isn't necessary."

All the things Shelmaine didn't say during their divorce suddenly came pouring out. But saying them now was meaningless. She wasn't looking for an explanation from Samuel. It was too late for that. She was just angry that he was still dragging her into this mess.
Samuel's expression was heavy. "It's all in the past now. None of that matters to you anymore. Shelmaine, you're pregnant. No matter what, I'm still the father of the child. I can't just walk away."
